Clubs and Attractions

Australian Association of Live Steamers (AALS)
The AALS is an organisation of societies, involved in the operation of live steam and miniature railways (up to 8 inch gauge) throughout Australia, and incorporated as a company limited by guarantee.

Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society (West Ryde)
The Sydney Live Steam Locomotive Society was formed in 1948 on its present site. They are located adjacent to the car park behind West Ryde shopping centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia and open on the third Saturday afternoon of each month from 1.30pm to around 4.30pm.

Wascoe Siding (BMRS Blaxland)
Wascoe Siding operates on the first Sunday of each month from 10 till 4. Formed in 1966 this railway runs on the site of an old main-line railway cutting, featuring tunnels, bridges and a waterfall. this railway is a wonderful icon of the Blue Mountains.

Illawarra Live Steamers (Wollongong)
The Illawarra Live Steamers is a non-profit organisation that operates a miniature (5") railway across from Stuart Park at North Wollongong, N.S.W., Australia.

Lake Macquarie Live Steam Locomotive Society (Newcastle)
We are a group of community members who build model trains and share them with the public. We are situated off Velinda Street, Edgeworth, NSW and have limited off-street parking. The land we operate from is provided by LMCC (Lake Macquarie City Council) and maintained by our members.

Northern Districts Model Engineering Society (Western Australia)
The Northern Districts Model Engineering Society, or NDMES, is located in Perth, Western Australia. We are a non-profit organisation serving the interests of our members and bringing the joys of model engineering to the public through our miniature live steam railway.

Innisfail Mini Rail Club Inc (Queensland)
The Innisfail Mini Rail Club are a group of people rallying to gain support and to have a model train rail laid at Warrina Lakes.

Hobart Miniature Steam Locomotive Society (Tasmania)
The Society was established in 1974 for the purpose of bringing together a small group of model engineers, living in Southern Tasmania, to foster their interest in building model locomotives.

Train Works - Rail & Train Museum Sydney
Since 1975 the historic town of Thirlmere in Sydney's southwest has been home to a significant rail heritage collection, the Rail Transport Museum (RTM). With a new exhibition space, retail areas, new workshops and revitalised parklands, Train Works is the perfect day out for the whole family!

New South Wales Rail Transport Museum (RTM)
The NSW Rail Transport Museum is an independent, not for profit company, established in 1962 for the purpose of collecting, preserving and presenting the railway heritage of NSW for the benefit of the community.

Zig Zag Railway
The Zig Zag is a full size, narrow gauge tourist railway located at Clarence, ten km east of Lithgow in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia.

Richmond Vale Railway Museum
The Richmond Vale Railway Museum is a volunteer non-profit organization, formed in 1979 with the aim of preserving the Railway and Mining Heritage of J&A Brown and the Hunter Valley.

Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum
The Valley Heights Locomotive Depot Heritage Museum is the Blue Mountains Division of the NSW Rail Transport Museum. The museum is located in the former Locomotive Depot at Valley Heights, in the Blue Mountains. Our museum preserves the depot buildings, the rail heritage of the Blue Mountains, and at the same time providing historical, educational and recreational facilities for the benefit of the Blue Mountains community and visitors to the region.
