1,483 cabless booster or B-units were built along with the 2,366 cab-equipped lead A-units by EMD from 1949, part of the long series of F type diesels. These engines were economical to operate and maintain and were extensively used for freight and passenger services.
The model accurately represents the full size locomotive, with a wealth of detail on bogies, chassis and body. This includes springs, glazed windows/windscreens, headlamp, handrails, number boards, exhaust and cooling vents.
This B(cabless) unit compliments the A units that we sell. With four additional motors and either independant or shared control systems.
